Nortel Certified Design Specialist (NCDS)
Overview:
This designation certifies that the successful candidate can
apply an entry level of technical proficiency required to plan,
design and/or engineer a solution in support of a customer's
business requirements using Nortel products.
Target Audience:
Pre-sales individuals worldwide who are
responsible for:
- Planning, designing and/or engineering network solutions
- Determining the right technology for the customer's
network
- Providing a quote
Providing assistance where necessary in the
development of an implementation plan
Demonstrated Skills:
A candidate who is minimally qualified has
these characteristics. In general it represents approximately three
to six months of relevant or related work experience.
- Quantifiable experience designing a basic network solution
using Nortel products
- Can, with minimal assistance, plan, design, and/or engineer
network solutions with basic complexity
- Can apply knowledge of the topics tested to help solve customer
design issues in most routine situations
Can work alone, without close supervision,
although he or she may be part of a team
