Revision of CCVP
Certification
| Cisco has redesigned and upgraded the CCVP curriculum to remove
the redundancy and overlap between courses and to incorporate
content focused on the skills required for the integration of
Unified Communications Manager and voice messaging applications.
Trouble shooting has been enhanced and a more realistic common lab
topology and dial plan has been incorporated across all
classes. |

|
A Dual Certification option will
now be available for delegates’ dependent upon the version of
Unified Communications manager being deployed.
Summary of Main Changes to Courses
- CVOICE V6.0 – 60% of the
GWGK content has been incorporated into the new version.
- CIPT1 V6.0 – Focused on
Deploying Cisco Unified Communications Manager in a single site
environment.
- CIPT2 V6.0 – Focused
on a Multi-site deployment of Cisco Unified Communications
Manager
How Will This Affect the
delegates?
All new students will have to decide which
option is best suited to their requirements.
- Option One – Should only be
considered by those students who currently have CallManager version
4.1 deployed and are not planning to implement a v6.0
solution.
- Option Two - Should be
considered by those students who are deploying a CallManager
version 5.0 or version 6.0 solution.
It is anticipated that delegates will be able
to mix & match courses so long as they complete the whole
programme and pass one of the current programme courses or its
equivalent.
The guiding criteria is that CCVP will
still require 5 exams although the duration of study will
decrease by 3 days.
What’s happening to CIPT
V5.0?
- It is anticipated that this will become
EOL,with a 90 day availability period for those wishing to complete
their exams.
